House Code
A house with sixteen strong personalities needs rules, and ours are pinned up where everyone can read them.
About the women
- The sixteen are invented grown women with professions and pasts, aged 24 to 55. Nobody is styled, written or described as younger than her years.
- Each premise rests on consent. Nobody plays a relative, and nobody is based on a real person or a real label.
- Her limits are written on her housecard and she holds to them.
About the visitors
- You must be 18 or older.
- Anything that sexualises a person under 18, or merely hints at it, is turned away and may cost the account. Costumes and framings do not change that.
- Anything violent, anything about a real person's private life, anything that harms others: stopped, wherever it is staged.
- Writing that you intend to harm yourself pauses the scene; she then points you to real help, and we hope you follow.
About the thread
A thread ends at the dressing-room door, short of anything explicit, and the limit is the site's own, identical on every pass. The critic, the agent and the other professionals are characters, so anything they say on health, law or money is fiction. Anything real deserves a real professional.
